Hanshi David Pope

 

 

Sensei David is the chief instructor and owner, of Japan International Karate-Do Federation.  He has over 35 years of experience in the martial arts, and has trained under Soke Kiyohisa Hirano ever since the 1970’s, in the art of Heiwado Karate. 

Sensei David holds the rank of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in the Heiwado style, and is a charter member of Japan International Karate Center Board of Directors, where he also serves as the co-technical director.  Sensei David holds a Hanshi (professor) certification in the JIKC organization. 

He has also trained in Shotokan Karate, and Tae Kwon Do. 

 

Rank history:

 

2004 – Awarded the instructor’s rank of Hanshi (Professor)

2002 – Awarded the rank of Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in Heiwado Karate

1996 – Awarded the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt) in Heiwado Karate

1991 – Awarded the rank of Yodan (4th degree black belt) in Heiwado Karate

1990 – Awarded the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate

1989 – Awarded the rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate
